10 Biblical Affirmations for Women
If you've been on any social media network, then you know that affirmations have taken over 2019. Everywhere you scroll you will find someone talking about the power of your mind and the power of speaking positively over your life. Even the Bible tells us that the power of life and death is in the things that we say. Affirmations of financial freedom and success are nice, but what is even better is affirming what God has already said about us. In this post, we will look at 10 affirmations taken straight from the Bible.
10 Affirmations From the Bible
1. I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
"I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well." - Psalm 139:14 AMP
2. I am holy and set apart.
"But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves in all your conduct [be set apart from the world by your godly character and moral courage]; because it is written, "You shall be holy (set apart), for I am holy." - 1 Peter 1:15-16
3. I am chosen.
"You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you." - John 15:16 AMP
4. I am whole and complete in Christ.
"You shall be blameless (complete, perfect) before the Lord your God." - Deuteronomy 18:13 AMP
5. I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgement and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]." - 2 Timothy 1:7 AMP
6. I am born of God and Satan cannot touch me.
"For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world -- our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]." - 1 John 5:4 AMP
7. I am the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery]. You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven." - Matthew 5:13-16 AMP
8. I am God's workmanship.
"For we are His workmanship [His own masterwork, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above -- spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]." - Ephesians 2:10 AMP
9. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
"I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose -- I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]" - Philippians 4:13 AMP
10. I am a friend of God.
"I do not call you servants any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you [My] friends, because I have revealed to you everything that I have heard from My Father." - John 15:15
Now that you've read those affirmations and scriptures, make sure to write them down and read them over and over. The Bible tells us to meditate on God's Word day and night. You can write these affirmations on your mirror, put them on your laptop, make them your screensaver, etc. We hope that these affirmations help you to realize who God has called and created you to be.
