The Meaning Behind Planted in Purpose
Are you surviving or thriving?
Are you living or simply existing?
Are you waking up everyday with a sense of purpose or are you just going through the motions?
Are you living a life that's actually meaningful or will your thoughts be filled with "woulda, coulda, shouldas" when it's time for you to retire?
The answers to these questions will tell you whether or not you have been planted in your purpose. When asked what does being in planted in purpose mean, this is my answer: To be planted in purpose is to be placed in a specified position in order to fulfill the calling that God has on your life. To some that might still be really vague and you don't really know how it relates to you. So let's break it down:
Placed in a specified position
Being placed in a specified position doesn't look the same for everyone. For me, the position that God has called me to currently is being a blogger. For others, it's a lawyer, doctor, pastor, or even a stay-at-home mom. Your specified position is where God (key!) has placed you in order to make a difference in the lives of others. If you feel like you have no real positive impact on anybody's life, chances are you have not yet been placed in your purpose.
Fulfill the calling
Every one of us has a calling on our life. Every one of us was placed on this earth to solve a problem and make a difference. When you are fulfilling your calling and doing what you are placed on this earth to do, your life will be full of fulfillment! Get it? I'm not saying that every day will be amazing, and sunshine and roses 24/7. However, I am saying that your life will have meaning and you will be excited to wake up in the morning.
The last part of the definition says "that God has on your life". Your purpose is aligned with God's will for your life. It is His hand that will plant you, guide you, water you, and nurture you. You will go to Him for nourishment, for peace, for protection, for grace, and for favor. You can not be planted without Him.
So, now that you know what it means...have you been planted in your purpose?
